Lost in my own country..

Talk about bad luck. I applied of r a new job, passed the psychological test, had the talk with
the field manager and got accepted. Yay. So anyway, i received a phone call for when i could
come by and sign the contract. This is where the fun starts.

I take the train from Amsterdam to The Hague and forget to get out at one of the stops. So i'm
in Rotterdam and call the company to say I'm late. Well, they tell me you're not late. You're
early, a little over 50 hours early. But they are reasonable and welcome me anyway. So finally
in the Hague i take the tram to the Haag street. There are 2 problems with this:

1. Even though my destination is called Haag street, the tramstop i need is called Heren street.
2. I took the tram that went to the wrong direction.
It gets better. The tram going the right direction doesn't ride anymore. So I am now forced to
find a new way of getting there. How the story ends? I don't know. At the time of writing this
I'm still sitting in the tram back the the central station, kicking myself in the head.

Well, eventually i got there and things worked out. In fact, in some twisted way i'm quite
happy that i was 43 hours (she counted the hours i was early..) early. I met some guys who
needed someone with some experience in scripting and they might have a spot for me to fill as
soon as my contract goes into effect. Frikkin awesome right? Note to self: contact those guys
from 'streetwise' when the chance presents itself.

Right now i'm going to have dinner with an old collegue from the company where i used to work,
haven't seen her in a while so i'm wondering how she's doing. Somehow, lately it seems that the
wind is finally blowing my way. - Jermain -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
